Sir Ernest Shackleton

Shackleton set the direction and walked it, rather than pushing from behind. Though he wasn't much of a sailor, when Shackleton made the decision to make the almost-impossible 800-mile boat journey to South Georgia from Elephant Island, there was no doubt in any crew member's mind that the Boss would lead that effort. Shackleton exemplified the difference between leadership and command. #LeadingByExample
